“I bought a Groupon from this company back in April. I called to schedule the cleaning and was told they would call me back. 4 weeks later, after still not having my call returned, I called again. This time I got the answering machine, which said they would return all calls within 24 hours. 2 weeks later, I still had not gotten a return call. I tried again, getting the machine again and not bothering to leave a message. I then had a coworker call to see if he could get it scheduled. He was told that the scheduler was on the other line and would call him back when she got off. 2 days later, after no return phone call, I finally contacted Groupon. They contacted JoAnn's and Groupon told me that JoAnn's would be contacting me within 3 business days. I received an email on July 3rd asking where the house was and if the Groupon was for a 2 hour or 4 hour cleaning. I responded that day saying where the house was and that the cleaning was for 4 hours and by July 14th still had not heard back. I responded again, this time copying an email address that was on their website. I got a response that Monday, July 16th, saying they could schedule the cleaning for that Wednesday. I responded that night saying that was fine and asked if there should be a list of focal points or if it would just be a general cleaning. By Tuesday afternoon, no response so I again sent another email and attached the email address from the website. I got a response from the owner saying that the scheduler was out with a migrane but that she had me down for Wednesday morning for a 2 hour cleaning. I responded that the cleaning was supposed to be 4 hours. No response by Wednesday morning, so I just suggested that we reschedule for a time that I can have advance warning and the full 4 hours that I paid for could be done.
We finally, after many more emails (3 of mine to every 1 of theirs), scheduled the cleaning the following week. The girl showed up at 1 and when I went back by the house at 2:20 to check on things, she was already gone. The house is a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom with a finished basement and hardly any furniture because 2 guys live there. All she had done that I could tell was vacuum the kitchen and the carpeted room downstairs and wiped down the 2 sinks and toilets in the bathrooms. The upstairs had not been vacuumed, the stairs had not been vacuumed, the bathroom floors had not been cleaned, the ONE bathroom tub had not beeen cleaned, the kitchen cabinets had not been wiped down, the hard floors in the kitchen and living room had not been mopped. In the 4 hours that I paid for, the house could have been spotless. Who knows how long she was actually there, but it was definitely less than an hour and a half and the house was hardly touched.
After as long as it took for them to finally schedule the service that I had originally contacted them for in April, you would think they could have at least cleaned for the amount of time I had paid for. I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I emailed Groupon immediately and they, without question, refunded me my money. Groupon has been great through this entire experience, but I would never use this company again and wish I hadn't in the first place.”
